HGTV Dream House winner...
was so not super excited to win that $2.2 million house! Did anyone else watch and think the same thing?????

Oh my god that was the WEIRDEST RESPONSE EVER!! They did not even look excited...we had to change the channel because watching their response was upsetting us

Most of the people who win those houses don't actually keep the house and take the money instead because they get hit with a huge tax bill. However, even if that were the case, I'd still be ecstatic if I won.

I saw it. It was annoying to me that they didn't seem excited. Maybe something happened in the house before hand that was upsetting. They were all acting a little weird. I would have been so happy to win that house, even if I didn't keep it.

I'm glad you all thought the same thing! I thought it was me in the way she UNDERREACTED. I think even the host was a little miffed. She did seem very concerned about how she looked with the camera there and all so maybe she was just in such shock and concerned about her appearance on television. But wow, show a little happiness!

YES! It was almost painful to watch. The woman just seemed completely uncomfortable and as though she didn't want the cameras there. I'd hate to paint her as ungrateful, because I'd be taken off guard if people showed up at my front door and put me on live TV too, but... a little excitement could've been faked, no?
And then the host woman kept overcompensating by asking her stupid questions, like "Isn't this just the most EXCITING day EVER?! How do you feel being an INSTANT MILLIONAIRE?!" It wasn't handled very well... they should've had a backup plan, so if she clearly didn't want to talk, they could've cut back to the studio or whatever and not forced the interview.

I think lots of people enter and forget about it.
I did not even realize it was last night. I was in my night gown and robe. That would have been "pretty". But hey, I would not have cared. Soon enough, I would have wore a teeny tiny bikini without a care in the World.

I hadn't seen it either but found it on youtube. It seems like she's VERY shy, but geez she didn't seem excited at all!!! None of the family did either, they were all standing around behind her.
If that was me and my family they'd be going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

yea i just watched from your link and she was totally shy! she was crying at least but definitely not the reaction i would've had! i would've been screaming and jumping up and down! i mean for pete's sake she got a free car too!!!!!

Of course they knew beforehand..I don't think it's coincidence that all their friends and family were there and she said they are celebrating her bday very early. Who celebrates an adults bday on a sunday night with all those balloons?
I think she was probably embarrased that she was so emotional about the entire thing on camera and just didn't want to talk without crying more.
