Hershey question
Seems like everyone is going. We are going the end of the month. Hotel is booked, but have to get tickets.
There are 4 of us. My boys are 6 and 4 and not into big rides. Plus, they're small so can't get on a lot.
Is one day enough to get tickets for the 4 of us? Do we need to go two days. DH can only take off two days anyway bc he's swamped with work, but we want to get away for a couple of days before school starts.

We spent 1 day there and it was enough. My kids love rides and were able to go on plenty of them. My older one is 6.5, but small for his age. He was still able to go on a few of the roller coasters. My younger one just turned 3. There were a lot of little rides for him to go on throughout the park. We went on a Monday in July. The water park and some of the roller coaster lines were a little long, but most of the other rides had very short lines. If you go during the week, I think you'll be fine.

I would without a doubt, get there at opening, which is 10am.
The next day you can do Chocolate World and the attractions there. The 4D movie is cute, and the Chocolate ride tour

If your kids aren't into rides much 1 day is good IMO. We just came back and my kids are not ride kids either :( They got to see most of the characters and had a good time. There was one section of the park we didn't get to though. They were getting tired it is a long day.

We arrived around 9:45 and spent 30-45 minutes at Chocolate World first.
There's zoo america, which I think you can do separately or walk into from Hershey. We didn't have time for that, but if the kids like animals, you may want to consider doing that on the second day. We stayed near Dutch Wonderland, which is about 45 minutes from Hershey. You could go there on the second day. We went there on our last day. It wasn't crowded at all and both kids enjoyed it. We arrived around 11 or 12 because it rained in the morning and we left before dinner.

There is so much for them to go one. Once you get there, you will see how it blows Six Flags out of the park.
One day is enough, there is a lot of walking so bring your double stroller and comfortable shoes for you.
Double check your hours of operation. We thought they opened at 10 and got there, only to find out it didn't open until 12. This was in October.
Chocolate World is free itself. Its the Hershey store. Once you get in you need to buy tickets for what you want to do. You can make your own chocolate, do a tour of the chocolate factory, watch a movie (I think it is 3D) and then a trolly tour around the grounds. They have packages that include different items or you can buy individually.
Find out if you arrive late lets say on a Friday night, if you can use your tickets for after dark (I think it is from 8-10pm) and then again for the following day. We did this and it was great. They might only do that promotion for Halloween, that's why I mentioned to call and ask.
We didn't bring food into the park so I don't know if you can. I don't remember seeing anyone with outside food.
Bring sweatshirts and thin pants with you just incase.
