Here we go again--post c-section infection
I have been very nervous about the c-section and had so much anxiety when c-section day came because of what happened last time with my c-section (back story is in my birth story). I am supposed to be discharged today and yesterday my blood pressure was higher than normal and still is and now when they took my vital signs this morning, I have a 100 degree fever....and the jerk doctor that delivered me last time is the on call doc...oh great and the nurse said "oh wellm he might not do anything", my OB yesterday knows im worried about infection and told me if anything was off or weird to call his office so if jerk doc doesn't do anything I will be right on the phone to my OB's office....im so nervous right now, they said my incision is red too....they haven't taken blood since friday but they said the labs looked good....I hope to god it's not staph again....

Are you getting any antibiotics prophylactically? I can't believe, given your history, they didn't get you on antibiotics right away.

check your patients rights they should have given you. you can deny your discharge. 
you know your body . if you think somethings not right trust your instincts. i dont like that your bp is high.

They gave me anitibiotics via IV for an hour before my c-section. They took the Iv out friday afternoon. The jerk doc came and told me they are cancelling the discharge and they cannot discharge me when I have a fever so I am staying another night, they took some blood from me so hopefully we will have the results of what is going on soon. Im glad my little man gets to stay with me, I would feel horrible if they told me he couldn't stay with me. Hopefully good news will be coming.
