Heperin Users?

My doctor switched me to Heperin, instead of Lovenox.

It's so different then Lovenox and it's not pre-filled, like I thought.

I need step by step directions on how to fill the vial without air bubbles. I never filled an injection before and I'm so nervous about the air bubbles.

I feel so stupid, but I need help!!!

I was clueless at first too. My husband is better at filling it than I am; I still get some air bubbles.

1.put the needle in and turn the med upside down.
2. SLOWLY (this is key) move the syringe down to fill it to the right amount.
3. My husband hits/taps the bottle and needle to get the air bubbles out.

Just fill it very slowly!!

I have injected it myself when he's not around and even with an air bubble or two, it doesn't hurt too much. The Lovenox definitely burns more than the Heparin. The Heparin is just annoying!

My Heparin is prefilled. Is it too late to get the prefilled medicine?

They told me they didn't have it pre-filled, so my hubby did it last night for me and it was fine, but he was nervous too.
It hurt a lot less then the Lovenox.
