I remember going to a local church with my mom and there was a tree with paper ornaments on it. We would pick out a few and on them were wishes. We would then go out, buy the gifts, wrap them, and attach the ornament so that they knew who it was for.

Honestly, I used to work for a homeless shelter on Long Island and these kids are more than taking care of by local charitable organizations in the community because they are very well known in the community. I would contact your local schools or churches who would give to those people in the community who desperately need, but who most likely are forgotten.
