Helpful moving tip!
My MIL gave us a great moving tip, thought I'd share. When packing clothes, use your luggage. You have to move your luggage anyhow, why not make good use of that space with clothes!! That saves a box or two!!

another trick is to leave your clothes in the dresser drawers b/c you have to remove them anyways to move the dressers.

I leave my clothes on the hangers and use garbage bags to protect them ( cut a hole for the hangers- like a garmet bag)
when you get to the new place- just hang them up and take the bags off
and your done
make sure you get the bags with the ties

yea, we are leaving them in drawers too, but heavy things like jackets, shoes, etc we are using luggage. And it has the handles so I don't have to carry them

Great tip -- we did that for the clothes and things we knew we'd need immediately. Stuff that we wouldn't have time to sift thru boxes for.
Another tip:
Pack your clothes in garbage bags and then label them.
