help with wedding attire
going to a Saturday evening wedding in mid-Febrauary--not sure if I wear a cocktail dress do I wear stockings and shoes or just sandals and no stocking (I'm afraid I am going to FREEZE and that seems a little informal) or do I opt for a long gown?

I would wear a cocktail dress and stockings. Depending on where it is, a long dress could be nice too!

I got invited to a black tie wedding in mid-December. I dressed in a plain straight long black dress and wore sheer black stockings underneath with heels.
There were also plenty of women in cocktail dresses and a couple in Snookie-style attire. 
I picked up one of those wraps at Macy's too to wear over my shoulders so I didn't freeze----thankfully we were not outside at all except to go back and forth to the valet.
