Help with nap time
My DD is just about 4 months and has been STTN for about 3 1/2 weeks. Since then, nap time has been a nightmare. I try to put her down 1.5 hours after waking or as soon as she shows signs of tiredness (yawning, rubbing eyes, etc.).
She fights falling asleep and then starts screaming bloody murder and then there is no consoling her. I have tried the swing, the pnp, the rnp, her crib, my arms, but nothing helps.
I dread nap time bc of this and the only way to finally calm her down is to take her for a walk in stroller or drive in car with her. I don't want to get into the habit of having to do that, so I am looking for tips to help her nap better.
It's so weird bc at bedtime we put her in her sleepsack and she puts herself to sleep within 5 minutes of being placed into crib. I guess we established a good bedtime routine, but now I'm looking for ways to set up a naptime routine.
Thanks for any help!!

Help with nap time
Never forced my DS to nap. He just fell sleep when he was tired.
Maybe she isn't ready for a nap after being up for 1.5 hrs.
I never had a schedule for DS. He made his own at that age.

Help with nap time
Maybe try keeping her up a bit longer. Whenever DD was ready to stretch out her awake time, she would still show signs of being tired at her normal time but she wouldn't go to sleep. It always took me a few days to figure it out and eventually just waiting an extra hour to put her down would work. It helped to go out and keep busy during that extra hour so that I wasn't just sitting home with a crabby baby who wouldn't nap.

Re: Help with nap time
We don't force DD to nap either. At night she sleeps anywhere from 4-6 hours and during the day she'll fall asleep and nap when she's tired.. Usually after a bottle or if we're in the car or stroller. She'll nap anywhere from 20 min to 2 hours.
