help with my workout please!
here's my background: I have a tiny frame and have never really had to work out. i eat pretty healthy and am a teacher so i'm on my feet all day. After my 2nd DD (she's almost 8 months) my body is hanging onto 5 extra pounds as well as things just looking flabby and untoned.
I finally decided to start doing a small workout at home to help tone myself up. i really dont mind keeping the extra 5lbs but i want to look alittle defined. i am small to begin but i need to get some muscle and make those flabby areas firm again.
here's the workout i created. can you tell me how to adjust it or change it?? i need a book called workouts for dummies. 15 lunges 20 reps of light arm weights for my tripceps on each side 20 crunches 15 pushups (very girly style) 10 leg lifts on each side in 2 different positions. **i do all of this twice then i do a 10minute mini step workout using my bottom step and some thing si remember from when i took a step class ages ago. i just want alittle cardio in there.
how does this sound??? how many days a week should i do it?? when should i add more reps?? should i be including/excluding other exercises? any help would be appreciated. thanks for reading this far

Re: help with my workout please!
What you are planning sounds awesome. I would add some yoga or pilates and I find that my core improves from these exercises and I believe overall gives better tone.

Sounds like you have a good plan.
I would get small hand weights as well. I love them! Try a few out at the store and figure out what works best for you (I use 10lbs). Free weight excercises really helped me improve my upper body strength.

I agree with Colleen! I use 5 lb free weights and they work wonders!
