Help with my rose bush...

I know nothing about rose pruning, maintenance, etc. This weekend my bush bloomed. It looks beautiful, but I am not sure how to care for it. Does this look too tall? Should we be cutting it down to make it lower? The top branches are now about 20' high, and we tied them up because they were bending down.

Chat Icon I think I'm going to! It just looks so tall to me...I always thought of rose bushes as...bushes! I've got myself a rose tree!

Re: Help with my rose bush...

you can trim it down but what i usually do is let the flower bloom and die and then cut it right underneath the dead bud. Usually it will re bloom from there.
