Help with FSA
FSA rejected my claim for a private room at the hospital during my delivery (I had a c-section and stayed 4 nights).
The main reason I signed up for the full amount to be withheld was because I knew that I was having a c-section and wanted a private room.
I looked under eligible expenses and it clearly says "Lodging at hospital For medical care".
But when I called the representative said it was not covered bc it was a "private" room!!
What??? I told her that it was outrageous and she is going to escalate the situation to a supervisor.
Has this happened to anyone??

Our company uses ADP. I'll do a search.
Thanks.

Re: Help with FSA
I wasn't even allowed to claim anything for my delivery or while I was out on maternity leave. Basically my FSA was on hold until I returned to work. I too had no clue or we wouldn't have done so much.

That makes no sense. I mean, it's YOUR money that they've taken out. Were you getting paid leave? if so, then how can they justify taking FSA $$ out but not letting you submit claims?

No I didn't get paid..B/c there was no paycheck there was no money to go to FSA. They did reduce the amount we are able to do though.

Re: Help with FSA
I didn't have a private room, but my boss did and she got reimbursed.
