Help with Area Rug
I need to get an area rug for my living room that we are redoing ...
Since the coffee table we ordered has multiple colors/pattern i thought that a rug with a pattern would be too much - so i am thinking of getting a solid color rug.
I found this one - it comes in gold and ivory. Our sofa is dark brown and the floor is similar color to the pic with rug and walls are lt beige. Not sure what color would be best - i have gold curtains and some gold accents in the room (vase, throw pillows)
Any thoughts or other rug possiblities greatly appreciated Image Attachment(s):

Re: Help with Area Rug
what about a bamboo rug to match the gold but not be overkill (i don't think the rugs you posted would necessarily be overkill, but this might just be a little softer)

i don't know how comfy that would be though if you're walkin around barefoot...the ones you posted look nice and comfy.

I think the gold rug you posted would look nice and rich.

Re: Help with Area Rug
I would go with the gold rug if the choice is between those two...HOWEVER.... I love the bamboo rug idea posted above.
Also, I have a white shag carpet in my living room which I was dying for and now I HATE IT! It gets so dirty where your feet go no matter how much you avoid it. I am a NEAT FREAK and I will flip out on anyone who wears shoes near my carpet but regardless, it happens even from socks. It just shows everything so no matter how beautiful the idea looks, a dirty carpet just doesn't look good. We've had it for about 4 months and i'm already looking to replace it with something else. Also, shag carpet stinks to vacuum.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer I just want you to avoid what i'm regretting.
