help with amazon registry!!
ok so im in the odd situation that i had put two different car seats on my registries - one on BRU and one on amazon. i figured that whichever got purchased first, i would delete the other. my aunt bought the one on BRU so i deleted the amazon one. however today i received the amazon one!! the registry never showed it as purchased before i deleted it. and now like 2 weeks later it was delivered to me, with no name on it!! its literally the graco box with shipping labels on it . since i deleted it from my registry prior to it being recorded as purchased, theres no record on my registry of it being bought by anyone. im going to call amazon tomorrow to see if i can figure out who it came from, but does anyone have any experience with this?? im prob going to return the amazon one and keep the BRU one since the amazon one is a little bulkier (snugride 35 vs safeseat/snugride 30) and i will use the credit to buy the monitor we want since its very pricey and likely no one will get it for us.
sorry this got long winded. but does anyone know why this wouldve happened with amazon registry??

Re: help with amazon registry!!
Did you go to the "Thank Yous" part of your registry to see if it is still on there? I wouldn't know what to do--definitely call Amazon! If worse comes to worse, you can just return the BRU one.
ETA: I just saw what you said about the difference between the BRU and Amazon car seats, sorry, I missed that when I read it!

Re: help with amazon registry!!
The Amazon registry has a list of who bought you what. See if the car seat is listed on this thank you list and the recipient.
If not, contact Amazon customer service.
Also, check the Amazon shipment. Sometimes on the bottom of the box, they will put a clear bag with the shipping contents inside of it, so you know who it is from, etc. BRU did that with a pack n play that was shipped to our house, so I would assume the other stores prob. follow suit.

Re: help with amazon registry!!
i looked on the thank yous tab but since i took the item off the registry before it ever registered as being purchased, theres no record of it anywhere . ill call amazon today. i dont think theres anything in the box since the shipping label was attached directly to the graco box, it wasnt put into another box. to further complicate things it was from an amazon marketplace vendor - not directly from amazon... and i think they are located in canada

Check the shipping label carefully. I've found the person's name typed small in a corner or at least an address or message from them since it's a gift.
And if all else fails, tell your Mom and see if she can find out who shipped you a car seat without any gift packaging.
Good luck.....I also had an amazon registry, but didn't have any issues you described above.

Re: help with amazon registry!!
go to www.amazon.com/returns (I believe the address is) and you can put in the order number and it will tell you your options for returning the item. I received a bouncer in the mail like that -- just stickers on the box -- and it was super easy to return. For $6 extra (which just came out of the price of the item) they actually had UPS come to the door to pick it up -- super convenient since DD was like 3 weeks old at the time. On the return page, it had the buyer's information. It also explained that they would never find out you returned it. You'll get a credit emailed to you for the amount they paid that you can easily use on amazon for whatever you want. VERY EASY!
