help! Why would my face be all swollen?
I woke up around 4-5 am and my face
( and hands) are all swollen up. Now My face looks a little bit worse. My eye lids are like non existent?
Im a worrier, so Im WORRIED...LOL
I took my temp..99.1
I do have AF, could that be the reason?

HI Donna, it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to something.
I would take a Benadryl and see what happens.

Donna, take a Benadryl. You may have gotten bitten by something in the middle of the night. The same thing happened to me last summer. Try and put some cold compresses on your face also.

Were you doing any yard work? This happened to me once after I did yard work and my Dr said it was a reaction to a bug bite. I agree with boosh take some benadryl and feel better If you have any trouble breathing though head right to the hospital.

I too agree with what evveryone posted because a similiar thing happened to me.
Take hte pill and let us know what happens.

shouldnt have anything to do with AF. Take some beandryl and if that doesnt work in an hour or if you feel worse call your doc right away. YOu know I am not usually a worrier, but that def sounds like an allergic reaction.

Sounds like an allergic reaction. I would suggest take some benadryl and try to get to the doctor as quickly as possible.

Ok I didnt take the bendyrl....It always makes my heart race and with panic attacks, thought I would feel worse if I did. It seems to have gone down some. I thought maybe it was just bloating?? I took DH to the oral surgeon and am home and am still alive...LOL......
Its a little better? and Ihave had this in the past. Cant remember why though or what happened.

I definitely agree, it is an allergic reaction, I get them and they can be scary. Benadryl works wonders for me, but I have the opposite reaction to you, it knocks me out. Anyway, even if it gets better you should let your doctor know. The first few times I had a reaction, my eyelids swelled and my hands got itchy but then it worsened and started affecting my throat. Now I carry an epi pen. Good luck, hope you feel better!

Did you eat something you may be allergic to? DH eats lobster all the time but once after he ate it his lips got all swollen. It was very funny looking but very serious. The doc said he should consider himself allergic to shellfish.

this happened to my good friend after eating shrimp for the first time (she never ate it before college!). It lasted a few days but then she was fine. Now, of course, she stays away from it! Hope you feel better!
