HELP! What Do You Do When Your Child Is At An In-Between Age???

My DD is not even 6 mos and just grew out of her infant car seat. She is 20lbs and 27". She sits up with support but wobbles from side to side.

We tried taking her to the supermarket this weekend and using the shopper cover and put her in the front and she was not ready. I found I had to hold her hands so she wouldn't wobble left to right. (PLUS...we are such newbie parents...we couldn't figure out how to strap her right)!

Is it our DD in a stroller then or us holding her until she is finally sitting up for that or do the parents need to choose who goes shopping alone and one stays home with her?

Bring blankets to put around her in the seat...to help prop her up.

I always stuffed my pocket book around them too...

DS outgrew his seat at 5 months, so I had this same post last year. Many of the girls suggested leaving the empty infant seat in my trunk to use in stores til DS was ready. Perfect!

I just put him in the stroller in the in-between stage. It doesn't last that long. Give her another month or so and she'll be sitting perfectly in the cart!
