Help us pick a name, please
We are trying to decide between a few names I like 2 and DH likes 2. Please take the poll!!

I love Alexa, Mia and Samanthan in that order.
I just don't really like Tiffany - it reminds me of a very prissy girl I used to know (sorry if that was your pick!!)

I like Tiffany. Thought the name is cute but I like shorter names so then she would be Tiff??? it is under debate.
Amelia is my grandmother's name and I LOVE  her to death and DH is not sold yet on Amelia. I am trying!
He likes Sam but I have had 2 girlfriends name their daughters Samantha within 10 months so it's not that I don't like it but it has been used twice already.

We are naming our DD Amelia Rose.
P.S. Tell DH what the meaing of Amelia is.......hard working; industrious and maybe he'll like it a little more!

I chose Alexandra but I like the name Alexa better I was going to name my daughter Alexia

I voted for Amelia, only b/c I'm biased.
Don't take this the wrong way, but we chose the name because you can't make it shorter. KWIM? I like there really is no nickname.

I didn't se ethat part- yeah- Mia isn't a nickname for Amelia, is it?
If you like Mia, name her Mia- that's a beautiful name, too.

Mia has become a nickname for Amelia but I do agree that if you like the name Mia then you should go with Mia because most people would not put that nickname together.
I picked Alexandra because I just love that name. I know someone who's nickname is Aly based on that name also. And I used to know an Alexa. I would go with it myself for a girl but I love Alexander for a boy and I'm not willing to give up hope on that name yet.

I've heard of Mia for Amelia, and DH's aunt is named Amelia and everyone calls her Amy. I really think parents dictate a nickname - ie. my name is Kathleen which typically would be "Kathy" but I've always been Katie because thats what my parents wanted.
My pick would be Alexandra, but if I had to pick one of the shorter versions I would pick Mia.

is the L being pronounced in amelia? I can see the nickname Lia but I dont hear the mia with amelia if you pronounce the L if not then I hear it.
