Help! Straw sippy cups taste like SOAP!
I am so disgusted. I took a sip of my DC's water and it tasted like soap. 
I wash the cups in the dishwasher, rinse them and hand wash the straws. Is there a better alternative? We use the Munchkin cups.

Do you use a brush for the straws? I bought straw brushes.

We use the playtex sippys and run them through the dishwasher and have never had any issues. Does your dishwasher leave residue on other things? Are you loading the dishwasher so something is blocking the water from spraying?
If nothing helps, I agree with PP and use a brush. The little ones to clean the Dr's Brown's bottles should work.
