Help!!! Spitting Up and Formula
Currently DS is drinking the Enfamil Prosobee Formaula (Soy Based) but I noticed that he is spitting up excessively after each feeding.
For those whose DC spits up what formula are you using that reduces the spitting up? I am so unhappy about the excessive spitting up...please help! Thanks in advance!

I used Gentlease and it worked really well. DD spit up a bit for the first few months, but her tummy issues decreased totally.

My DS has a milk protein allergy and also has reflux. He is on Enfamil's Nutramagin Lipil formula and also takes Axid (an acid reducer) 3x a day. Also we give him mylicon with most bottles as he was very gassy. Since using all of these the spitting up is almost non-existent....thank god!

My youngest went through the same thing. We did similar, then pro sobee then nutramagin. We noticed a difference almost right away with the nutramagin. When she switched to whole milk at a year, she started again. She was put on lactaid, and we've had zero problems. Your dc may need a different formula.

We also gave dd mylanta (under peds. Care). And that helped with the gas.

One thing to keep in mind is some kids are just happy spitter uppers.
DS#1 Spit up from about 6 weeks until 7 months! Constantly. But it never bothered him. as my ped said it was more a laundry issue than an issue for him! He gained weight wonderfully, and was just the happiest kid, never cried when spitting up!

You are absolutely right up! He is not cranky but I was just worried that maybe eventually it will affect his weight gain.

Which I totally understand. But remember that the amount that appears to come out is usually less than we would think.
Talk to your dr but I will say that DS tripled his birth weight by his first birthday. So it had no effect on his gaining. And he would literally spit up from one feeding to the next....
