Help! She's so congested she keeps waking herself up!!!
She's snoring and ultra congested...We have the humidifer on in the room...what do I do, she keeps tossing and turning and waking herself up from being so congested!!!

Saline drops....Sadie was like this last week so I woke her up, changed her and used the drops. worked wonders

the next time she wakes up, elevate the mattress with towels, if you have saline drops (use them) also if you have vicks vapor rub,put some on the bottom of her feet.
Hope she feels better

thx did the vicks on the feet before bed and elevated the mattress, nothing seems to be helping, and she just sounds so awful...

When DD had her first few colds we did what we called the "3 S's" Shower, Saline, Scream.
I would turn the hot water on in the shower in our smaller bathroom and let it run with no fans on. We'd sit in there in the steam for at least 20 minutes or until the hot water ran out. Then we come out into the cooler air and use the saline drops. DD HATED the drops but it got her so upset that she would scream and cry and it usually helped clear her out at least for 5-6 hours.
I run a humidifier in her room and use the Vicks pads that are made for it when she has a cold.
I've seen the suggestion of slightly raising the end of her crib so her head is up a bit but DD sleeps all over the crib so that wouldn't work for us but you may want to try it.
Hang in there! It won't last long.
