Help pic dr colors...
So I went to the store today to get some samples - I wanted to do a two tone color with blue on the bottom - The guy talked me into Shaker Beige for the top and Van Deusen Blue for the bottom - Well it looked very nice on the store once I got home and tested it in our house, we dont love it... So now I need help picking colors - We have Desert tan which we really like and I was thinking of putting that on the top but what should we put on the bottom - I was thinking blue because of out china - I originally thought Symphony blue but the guy said it might be too bright - Can any one help me.... DH is going to work tomorrow and I have to choose colors.....
TIA

Re: Help pic dr colors...
are you matching the colors to your china?
what color is your china? maybe you can take a plate or somthing with you and see if it matches I like navy blue.. I always liked the way that looks with a khaki or cream color
hope this helps you
ETA: your house looks beautiful from the pic in your avatar.... good luck with everything! Did you just buy?

Re: Help pic dr colors...
WE had originally done our DR in Van Deusen Blue on top (white wainscotting on bottom) and it was so dark! I did not like it at all. A year later, I painted my dining room Garrison Red.
Sorry I am of no help

Re: Help pic dr colors...
Here is a pic of the china....
We decided to go with Desert tan for the top and Cobalt Blue for the bottom with white crown molding, chair rail, floor moldings and trim.... I think it should look pretty... I am keeping my fingers crossed - All this running around for paint this morning and last night and I am not even 100% sure they will get to painting today... UUGGHHH....
Oh well - Only time will tell.... This is the room pic with new floor and pic of the china... Image Attachment(s):

Re: Help pic dr colors...
we have dessert tan in our kitchen. it is more of a a warm yellow/gold than it is beige. we have shaker beige in the LR and foyer as well as the upstairs hall. very nice and neutral color.
