Help! Need to go

It has been over 4 days now that I have not ad a BM. I have been taking colace, and just bought fiber one bars and still nothing. I am so uncomfortable. Any other remedies I can try befor calling my doc?

Eta: I am about 8 weeks.

My OB said miralax is safe- like colace, it does not leave your intestines to go into your blood and then cross the placenta.

I had that problem too. Colace gave me horrible stomach pains...I switched to miralax and alls good now

Thanks. I never thought of prunes.
I also just started Zofran and one of the lovely side effects is constipation. Ughhhh.

I tried EVERYTHING!!!! Like you I was on zofran from hyperemesis but could not go for DAYS!!! I was SO uncomfortable. I finally ended up calling the dr and they told me to take the Miralax. DEF try that. It helped me go and I was regular after that.

Oh god!! This has been the worst part of pregnancy for me. I had no MS at all but going to the bathroom has become quite the ordeal. I tried it all... even hot prune juice which is quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted ! The combo that I have found works for me is 2 teaspoons of metamucil that I mix in a big glass of water at night with that I take 3 colace pills and 30ml (2 tsp) of milk of magnesia. Yes all at once, its all safe and its the only thing that keeps me going without blood pain and tears. It has been so bad this whole time and I keep hearing it only gets worse the bigger the baby gets. I also drink about 200oz of water a day. I eat two apples and a fiber one bar each day also. If I miss a single day in this routine right back to square one.
