Help Me With My Menu
I'm so uninspired lately...
My son's bday is Friday. I am making my paella the centerpiece of the evening.. I'll do a mock sangria for the littles and a regular sangria for the big 'uns.
What else? What kind of snacks and sides?
I'm also making a small pot of turkey chili for those that are seafood-phobic.

tapas for appetizers?
-ceviche
-spicy shrimp with garlic (even better if you do it in one of those hot stoneware dishes!)
-marinated olives
-some kind of potato with aioli?
-fried calamari
I'm no help, sorry!
for a side..
what about just lettuce with sliced avocado and maybe some red onions with a limey dressing?
fried plantains???

You are no help??? Are you KIDDING? you just gave me some great ideas. I love the spicy shrimp and I think I will do my famous warm potato salad with Saffron dressing.
You are the best!
Any other ideas?

you also can't go wrong with a few spanish cheeses with chorizo and serrano ham. sliced baguette = heaven!!
your warm potato salad also sounds perfect. and you can use some more of that saffron!!!
