Help me pick paint for bathroom

Demolition has begun on our new bathoom! Woo hoo!

I need some help/advice with paint colors.

Here's the floor:

Here's the wall tile:

Vanity:

The bathroom is big (12' x 6.5') and we're doing one long solid wall of white wainscotting.

I usually lean towards beiges, tans, creams, but I was also thinking of adding some color to the walls. Any ideas?

TIA!

Re: Help me pick paint for bathroom

what color vanity top? If it is granite, can you try to pull from there? Maybe there is an accent color you can pull from there.

What 'style' do you like --- spa? modern? edgy? traditional? beachy? How do you see it decorated? What accent do you want to add (bamboo artwork, seashells, etc....)

if you know what style you are going for, that will help you choose a color.

Toliet, tub and undermount sinks are all white.

My husband likes a tuscan feel with dark rich colors. I was thinking of going with a more calming feel. We're really at a loss!

We will have a little nook on the wall opposite the vanity with shelving where I would like to put baskets on each of the shelves.

If you want the calming feel then a light slate blue or a light sage green would be nice with the tile and vanity. Very spa like.

If you decide Tuscan, then a nice burnt orange or a rusty red would look awesome with the tiles and vanity. Very warm feeling.

Maybe pickup some paint samples for both ways and see what you guys like better. GL! Chat Icon

Re: Help me pick paint for bathroom

For a spa like bathroom, I like a sage green with wood bamboo / brown leaf accents.

For a tuscan feel, I would try out a deep golden orangy yellow. Although I am not sure of a tuscan feel for the bathroom. I like tranquil better.

If that vanity top is Santa Cecelia granite, check out the sample. There is a deep purple accent to it that is beautiful. Like Kalamata Olives. That could look really pretty also.
