and is narrowing down the search. Melville, Dix Hills, or Plainview? I am biased toward one town but can't tell him about the other 2, what say you? I mentioned East Norwich due to location but don't know much about it. Budget is 750-850

They are all good areas. With Dix Hills you could be in Half Hollow Hills schools or Commack - both are very good. With Melville, I would try to make sure the house is in the HHH school district (rather than S. Huntington - not necessarily bad, I just think HHH is rated higher). I don't know much about Plainview, but I believe the Plainview Old Bethpage school district is very good also

We live in Oyster Bay Cove so we know a lot about East Norwich. It would share a library with Oyster Bay, as well as the high school. The HS is comprised of a few areas including Mill Neck, Brookville etc. The community is very tight knit and people are very friendly. The town is walkable (talking of OB) and East Norwich is very close to Syosset- which has a ton of shops etc. If you have specific questions, feel free to pm.
Btw- we looked at homes in both Melville and Dix Hills as well prior to moving.
