Help me keep it together!!
Hi, guys,
I'm a mess today and just need some hugs from you guys. After being on vacation last week coming back to work today is making me lose it. I almost turned the car around three times on my way here. I was crying and shaking. Little background: I HATE my job-I've been here three long years because I was afraid of starting over again but I'm starting to think I have no choice. I am bored to tears here and there's way too much time on my hands to think, if you know what I mean. It's also a very tense atmosphere which stresses me out. DH wants me to quit so bad. I was holding on these last few months because of medical coverage but just realized today that IVF won't be covered anyway so maybe I should just start looking for something else. This place is going to kill me.
Sorry for venting & I'm sorry I'm so whiney lately

If your DH is behind you then maybe you should quit. An IVF cycle is stressful enough, you don't need added extra stress factors to complicate matters.

Before quitting, i would start searching for a new job. Its so much easier to get a new job when you have a job

I was in a similar position to you a few years back. I hated the company, hated what i was doing and everyday I felt like driving far far away. Tonight, go home, do your resume and get it out there. Life is too short to stay where you are not happy. You spend most of the day/week at work. There are plenty of other jobs at better companies with better people. And maybe you will find a job that offers IVF coverage, starting immediately. Run, don't walk!!!!!!

Thanks, as always, for your support. I'm going to start looking into a few things just to see what's out there. And after our dr. appt. on Thursday, I guess I'll take it from there. Maybe I can hold on long enough to get through the IVF cycle and then see what happens. Not sure a new job would appreciate all the time I need to take off for appts.

Thank you all so much for getting me through yesterday. Trying to be a little more upbeat today & just ignore this place. Was thinking last night if I can just hold on and get through the IVF cycle (if we decide to do it) then I can take it from there.
