Help me decide what entertainment to have at DD's 1st Birthday Party!
I'm so late in making this decision and I just need to book something already. There will not be a ton of kids there, maybe 10 tops, all around 1 year old.
The puppet show sounds cute, but will the kids really sit still for 30 mins? I wonder if they could do a 10 minute show instead.
Right now I'm leaning towards the pretty clown and the parachute games! (also the cheapest!)

I think you are right about the 1 yr olds not sitting I agree with the pretty clown and parachute games

Thanks for the votes!
I'm surprised that the Music Together class is running pretty much neck in neck with the cute clown & parachute. I was thinking that it might be too formal and class-like for a 1st birthday party.
Any BTDT moms want to weigh in?

I voted for the clown, bubbles & parachute. I LOVED MT class so that was a tough choice for me. I know we had Elmo at my DD's 1st Bday party and it was 50/50 who was scared and who wasn't, so keep that in mind for the clown!
I think MT would be great as well because it's fun & different and the kids might enjoy playing with the toys & making music, singing and dancing!

Either the first and last. One y/o's definitely don't have the attention for a puppet show. Also, don't go crazy with entertainment since there will only be 10 kids there, I think whatever is cheaper- MT or clown, is how I would go.

We. Had a character (cookie. Olmsted) form1 hr and all kids were about 1 and it was a great time!!! DS especially loved the parachute part. For the kids that was e most captivating and fun!!

We did the clown and it was a huge hit. We used Arty's Parties in Merrick.
My friend just had a party and used the Play Hooray group. If you have mostly kids 2 and under then they would be perfect. However if you have a few older kids the clown/facepainting/tattoos/cotton candy, etc would be better.

Also, I know a company that has an Elmo- they do an amazing job! They just show up, hang with the kids, no other services required. I feel like ALL kids love Elmo- and its great for short attention spans. ANd its probably half the price of the clown or MT!
