Help me analyze my dream..
This was like 2 nights ago and I still keep thinking about it...
I dreamed that I was in a big, bad city...like NYC in the old days...but I was a detective and carried a gun. I got backed into a corner in a parking garage by a gang of really tough guys....I pulled out my gun but no matter what I did I couldn't bring myself to point it at them or threaten them...
So I was backed into a corner. Had the opportunity to defend myself and didn't.

I assume it could mean something like you are afraid to make a decision about something in your life, or you feel like something might be holding you back.

I think that you should stop watching "Law & Order" before bed.
Maybe it means that you feel kind of ganged up on, and you don't feel that you should defend yourself. That it would be better to just curl up in a ball, because by defending yourself you might hurt someone else.
Of course I'm talking out of my keister.

I would take it as you are facing a dilemma or problem, issue etc..... You know exactly how to tackle it (ex the gun in your hand) but something is holding you back from actually doing so.
I am just an amateur, though.
