Help Making Baby Food

So I'm going to try to start making DC's baby food. I'm reading Super Foods and they have a list of what you need to get started. I guess I would just rather hear from experienced moms what I really need. What works best, what to avoid and what's not necessary. Any input would be great! I have so far:

1 ice cube tray - do I need more?
Food mill
Food processor - do I really need both?

No spoons or bowls or anything like that yet.

Steamer?

TIA!

Ye syou need more then one Ice cube tray. I use 4-6 at a time, but I like to get a lot done at once so I dont have to do it too often. usually once a month I make a big batch of stuff.
And then maybe once every two weeks Iw ill make something I pick up.

I use my food processor for almost everything. Havent used the food mill yet.

yes I use a steamer for almost everything. One that pops right into the big pots.

These are the trays I use and I LOVE THEM...plus they are cheaper then the ones that are designed or really just advertised as baby food ones.

Re: Help Making Baby Food

I use

- steamer (I already had it).
- regular ice cube trays. I put clear wrap over them until frozen then I transfer to freezer bag
- Hand blender (I had it too!)

You need more than 1 ice cube tray. When I cook 1 big sweet potato it takes 2 and sometimes a portion of a 3rd tray.

I use bottled water to mix with veggies to puree, from consistency.

What does your steamer look like? Is it just one of those metal ones that folds up in a circle? I've never steamed anything. Thanks
