help- I know I am not the best cook but- update!
I put chicken in the oven 15 minutes ago and it hasn't cooked at all ( the recipe said 25 minutes max)
and yes the oven is on- and I preheated it
it's a huge oven- don't ask me why- but it is- so I guess it's taking longer to heat up????
help!

I see the flames- it's gas- it's the first time I am using it
but I can touch the pan and not feel like it's hot
maybe I should just take the chicken out and fry it???

in my experience gas ovens are different. i had a gas oven and things took a while to cook in it, but it was a real old oven.
how long did you pre-heat the oven for? to me it sounds like you havent pre-heated it enough.

thanks girls- but Jake just came walking thru the door with a letter from the manager
there is a gas leak in the building and the gas had to be shut off 
and that means no laundry either- which was my plan for tomorrow- we just got back from Florida- I maybe have 1 pair of underware left!

Are you in an apartment? If this is the first time you're using it, maybe its not working? If so, maybe you can call the super?

and silly me went to use the stove- and wondered why it wasn't lighting
maybe I shouldn't have wine on an empty stomach!
