HELP! Green poop!!!
DD is BF but I sometimes give her formula. I haven't gave her any formula for the past 4-5 days. I have noticed that her poop is very green and yucky. Is this normal. COuld it be a food alleregy? She doesn't seem sick or anything.

Re: HELP! Green poop!!!
could just be a little diaareah. DD gets it occassionally. nothing you can do, just make sure she is hydrated and if she gets it more then 4 times in one day call the ped.

Re: HELP! Green poop!!!
DD's poop was always green when bf. Honestly it was rarely any other color! Now that she is on formula and solids it is all different colors but never green. I asked the Ped and they said as long as she is gaining weight and it isnt black and hard or have blood she is fine. I also heard it could be from getting a lot of formilk, rather than the fatty milk in breast milk.

Re: HELP! Green poop!!!
Getting too much foremilk is often the reason for green poops. Try nursing for longer on a side before switching.

Re: HELP! Green poop!!!
My DS had really smelly green mucousy poop and it turned out to be a dairy allergy. If it's just green, I wouldn't be concerned, but if there's mucous I would call the dr. and ask about it.
