help! getting to the central park zoo-

hey everyone

we want to take our little guy to the central park zoo tomorrow, but we aren't sure of the best/easiest way to get there.

i am nervous to drive into the city, so we were thinking of driving to queens and taking the subway- do you think that would be easy? or is there another way that i'm not thinking about?

any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated- thank you!

We just visited there yesterday. The Polar Bear was very entertaining. We parked the car on 62nd street and walked all over...We visited the Children's Museum of Manhattan and the Museum of Natural History as well.

Sundays are easier to park though- less restrictions. If you do not want to drive and look for a spot I would just take the train into Penn and walk uptown. The city is so stimulating for little ones.Chat Icon If you do drive look for spaces in the residential areas off the park on the east or west side.

I would drive into the city and park in a lot.

As pp mentioned, Sundays are easy to park.

We went on a Sunday and parked off 5th on 68th, entered the park on 67th to walk to the zoo.

For a weekday, the parking restrictions are worse. You could park in Queens and take the N/R train to 5th Avenue. That will leave you on 59th and 5th and you just have to walk up to 64th to the zoo.
