Help from technically saavy peeps please!
I've been asking DH to hook up our DVD player since we installed our new flat panel TVs but he hasn't had the chance 
So I've got the cable box hooked up to the TV with an HDMI cable..how do I hook up the DVD player?
Any and all help is apprciated.

The DVD player hooks up directly to the back of your flat panel using one of those cords w/ three colored plugs on the end (one red, one yellow, one green)

That is how our is set up also... ours is not connected to the cable box.

It can be hooked up to either cablebox or directly to TV.
IMO, you should hook it up directly to TV. Look on the back on DVD player. Tell me what you see...
composite,
(1 yellow)
componenent (1 red, blue, green)
svideo (hole with a bunch of little holes in it)
btw, this is mcdo15 @ peabody's house... I tried to help you with this before I think..but this was a while back

there will be no way I can get to the back of the TV. It's mounted.

.... sorry..some tv's it possible but hard.
if you can access tv, then go though your dvd player.
If you have a HD DVR box, the input is in the front, if you don't have DVR, its on the back. Use a red, yellow and white wires (Yellow = video) and Red (right) and White (left) are for audio.
