Help! Did my water break - Update
I just stood up after sitting on couch and liquid tricked down my leg.....not sure i i peed myself or if it if my water broke!!! Ugh, i don't want to go to hospital just to be told it was pee. I lose control of my blatter a lot, but this was the first time a lot came out..it dripped all over floor..sorry for TMI...
What should i do???????????
Update: doctor doesn't think it was my water....not going to hospital..she said if i start leaking to call her her in the middle of night, otherwise to just check in with her in the morning. boo..hoo...All this drama for nothing

this happened to my SIL and it was her water she didn't want to call for the same reason but it was IT...it will likely keep trickling but I would call anyway. GOOD LUCK

Water should continue to leak, trickle or gush, has no odor and mine looked clear to grayish in the toilet. It also is coming from a different place than pee, if it continues you should be able to tell. I tested that by sitting on the toilet after I peed, and since it was still coming and I wasn't peeing, I knew it was my water. If so, call your doctor ASAP, they'll probably tell you to head to L&D right away. Good luck!

thanks..i'm going to wait to see if i get any more dripping before i call..i know doctor will probably tell me to head to hospital to get checked if i call her.

Also was at the doctor today and i was only 1.5 centimeter dialated and the doctor said cervix was long and thick.

When mine broke I was already peeing on the toilet. I finished and when I stood up, more liquid came out! That's how I knew it was my water.
For me , it was NOT like the movies, I had lots of little drips and trickles all day long. But I recall it having an unpleasant odor unlike what others are saying.

Sweet means amniotic fluid. And when my water broke I was not dilated or effaced at all. Just saying. I would call now.

Agreed, amniotic fluid had a sweet smell. When I thought y water broke (it hadnt) my dr sent me to the hospital just incase. FYI if your water DID break, it's important that you seek medical attention- If memory serves, you should deliver w/I 24 hrs of water breaking due to risk of infection.

I called the dr....she told me to put on a pad..and call her in one hour to let her know if there is any leakage on pad.
The wait continues......i feel totally fine, no cramps or nothing.

thats what happened with my first i wasnt sure if it was my water breaking or if i lost control of my bladder. DH and I laid down to bed and im like OMG did i just pee myself?!
i called doc and he said to go to hospital - they checked the PH levels.... not sure whats that about..... but i twas my water that broke.
it felt like trickles....
but the whole time i was leaking until i got to the hospital
i am waiting for any progress with DD#2 :)
