help! average mortgage payments
how much do you pay each month in mortgage/taxes, and where on LI do you live?
i am sorry if this is a nosy question but i think DH and i will be buying a home next year and i want to start working out a budget now. TIA!!

It completely depends on the amount you financed, your interest rate, your taxes, and your homeowner's insurance (assuming you'll be escrowing...)
ETA - google "mortgage calculator" and you'll find a way to calculate estimated payments.

i agree... it totally depends on how much you put as a downpayment ( because that affects how much you have to borrow), and it depends on the interest rate you get, the homeowners insurance company, and the town you live in for the taxes.... good luck!!! its so scary, but so exciting when you finally have a place to call YOURS
