Help
I am so grateful to be pregnant, please don't get me wrong...but I am suffering so badly with back pain, rib pain, and pelvic pain. I am only 6 months! I am not sure what to do besides the stretching my doc reccomended. I already am sleeping sitting up because my ribs and back hurt so badly...although even sitting is difficult because my torso is so small that my uterus is already pushing everything making it difficult to breathe..
Anyone have any ideas or going through the same thing? I am willing to do/try anything!

Re: Help
I am 5.5 and right there with you though my pain is lower back hip/pelvic. I see a chiro 2x a week for streching and slight manipulation. I also did 1 massage which helped. I was thinking of try acupuncture which my ob said is fine.

Re: Help
Hi,
Chiropractic is usually covered by insurance. My name Dr. Adam Glassman and I specialize in Chiropractic for pregnancy and pediatrics. FYI, I advertise on LI Families and I always offer a complimentary consult or if you want to call or FM with any questions. You can visit my website at greatneckfamilywellness.com for more info. Good luck and I hope you feel well.

Re: Help
I was the same exact way with my and getting there again with this pregnancy. The hormone Relaxin really kicks in around weeks 24-26 and it helps your body to spread for the baby (ie. hips, ribs, pelvis, etc.) therefore you can experience pains and those parts can shift out of line. My SI joint was always out of alignment and at 35 weeks two of my ribs were dislocated. My OB had a physical therapist in her office one day per week that was covered by insurance. That same PT works at a clinic the rest of the week. I saw her from week 25 through 12 weeks postpartum. I then saw her sporadically over the next few years. I would literally limp in the office with my joints out of alignment and see her and leave walking normally. I was always sore because she had to massage the muscles in that area to loosen them to get the joint back but it was worth it! Now I have new Insurance and that PT is not covered. I'm so sad because I love her! I'm in the process of getting a new one.

Re: Help
I feel your pain. I'm 24w5d & I'm pretty miserable. Like you said, I am happy to be pregnant & I will do ANYTHING for this little , but this is so uncomfy I dont know how I'm going to cope 10 weeks from now!
my back is killing me & my hips are killing me too. & lying on my side isn't helping the hip situation. I cant get comfy to sleep during the night. I cant what I'll feel like at 30+ weeks
