Help!

We move into our new house next week and I have no inspiration as to how to decorate my master bedroom. Any ideas or pics you can share are greatly appreciated!!!!

Re: Help!

For ideas, browse furniture stores since they set up the room in their stores.

IKEA
Maybe Pier One
furniture stores on 110
Domain, etc...

Re: Help!

Do you already have furniture or do you need everything? You should go to Ethan Allen, they will give you a big catalog with lots of ideas in it.

Re: Help!

We ordered our furniture already and it being delivered within the next few weeks. It is a dark wood. I need ideas for color and decor. I am not on LI but I think we have an Ethan Allen here. I have not noticed the stores doing up the bedrooms though. Chat Icon

This is our furniture (the bed looks lighter in the pic for some reason):

Re: Help!

What about painting the walls a color that stands out, big moldings, etc.?

Re: Help!

I go to home depot and look through those paint color brochures. They always have nice rooms set up according to the wall and furniture color.

Good Luck

Re: Help!

Your bedroom furniture is beautiful! I would keep the walls a fairly light color, maybe an off white or ivory or a very very pale pastel color and introduce a bold accent like red or olive green or golden yellow with bedding and lamps.

Have fun decorating! It will come to you!

I have seen a lot of bedrooms with dark wood furniture done in pale blue and beiges lately and I love how it looks.
