Re: help!
You have to be consistent and leave her in there - she will eventually get used to it
Do you have any crate training books?

Re: help!
Before it is time to stay in the crate for the night, put her in and take her out five minutes later. Let her see you in the kitchen, living room, dining room, where ever the crate is situated. This will pass in time. Stay away from pet stores, adopt from shelter, you know the temperment and behavior of the dog before making a final decision.

Re: help!
put a clock near her, one that actually tick tocks. it might soothe her. you might even try leaving the radio on for her, really low, it will keep her company. the other choice is to give her an old shirt or something that one of you wore, it has your scent on it and it will be comforting.
good luck! let me know if it helped.
