help - no prenatal vitamins
Sorry I haven't been around too much, but I just found out I'm PG and remembered about over here! (Babycenter is too confusing with all the 200+ post threads, I have no idea what's going on!)
The pregnancy is a bit of a shock - I thought I had more time to prepare. I didn't start taking my prenatal vitamins! I know that so many issues (ie spina bifida) are from the lack of prenatals! How am I going to get through these 9 months?

It's no big deal. Many people don't take prenatals at all. You can just go and buy over the counter ones from CVS.

THe first two posts are right. You can buy pre natal vitamins for any pharmacy.
Please make an appt with your obgyn asap.

I just found out that my OB who delivered my first child doesn't deliver babies anymore :(

just start taking them now. some people cant take them at all so i wouldnt worry about it.
is there another dr in the practice?

Just go to Target and get their brand. But what the other ladies said is true, it is ok if you start taking them now.

couldn't agree more! i didn't take them with my first daugther until 7 months b/c i had been super sick and at that time, it had subsided dramatically [though it never went away] so my dr. decided it would finally be worth the effort. my daughter was PERFECT.
this time i was put on them right away...but more as a routine than anything else.
