hello ladies, can I join again? Q - when should I see a dr?
I just got a BFP yesterday. I was pregnant couple of months ago , had a mc , with that pregnancy I saw my OBGYN couple of days after I got the BFP.
But I don't think I want to go so soon this time, I'm thinking I'm about 5 weeks now so go at 6 or 7 weeks? maybe even 8?
With my first pregnancy I went around 10 weeks since it took me a while to find an OBGYN.

Since you had a mc the ob generally wants to see you early, but if you want to wait than you should call in a few weeks to make an appointment. Congrats!!!!!!

I think you should contact your dr and find out what THEY think.

Usually they like to see you first to draw blood to confirm the pregnancy and then usually dont see you for your first official ob visit until 7-9 weeks... I would say depending on how far along you were previously when you mc and any other medical hx, you may want to contact the OB to ask what they think... Its always better to be safe than sorry especially with hx of mc...

I called them and they said they will take me next Fri , to do the blood test and a sono. Not sure how I feel about doing a sono so early , but def will have the blood test done to see the numbers.

You seem nervous is that why you dont want to go? Dont worry, you have to stay positive... Thats the most important thing after a loss... Remember this is a wonderful thing and Im sure your just a lil scared to get attached to the idea of being pregnant due to what happened last time (I can truly understand that) and I totally get it... I say just go with an open mind and whether you get a sono or dont get a sono, whats meant to be will be... Just stay positive that its going to be alright this time! I hope you feel better...

thank you . I am , I am so nervous , trying my best to stay positive and keep telling myself to just be happy , don't worry, what's meant to be will be , but easier said than done

I was so nervous too! I got a BFP (after a miscarriage at 7 weeks) and I waited until almost 10 weeks to see the Dr. But, this time we got a keeper! Plus, after 6 weeks, you are more likely to hear the heartbeat, so maybe wait...
But, congrats!!

I completely understand... Im 15 weeks and I had a previous loss as well, so I really do understand what your feeling. I still wake up some days where Im scared something may go wrong... After a loss it really changes you... Its almost hard to get too excited at first because you just want so bad to get through the first trimester... You want so bad for things to work out... The first step though is believing with all your heart that it is...
I make sure I take it easy, I rest a lot, I dont over exert myself, I dont lift anything heavy... I find prayer helps me and I literally remind myself to stay positive...
I hope everything is ok and I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months...
