heating pads

Is it okay to put a warm heating pad on your belly? I think I am experiencing ligament pain and I think the heat may help.

but will it harm the baby?

Re: heating pads

That's a no no. It will raise your baby's temperature and that can cause serious problems like brain damage. Same thing with long hot baths and hot tubs.

Exactly.

Also, I use thermacare patches on my back because I kind of think that they don't get as hot at heating pads do, but they do the trick.

Re: heating pads

Wow!! Good to know. Thank you so much. I had put it on my stomach at first and the baby moved, so I immediately just placed it on my back and took a nap. Thank you all for your helpChat Icon

Re: heating pads

No heating pads or electric blankets either. I was told no heating pads anywhere on your body.
