Heartburn this early?

I am only 5 weeks and for the past few days I've had this acidic feeling in my throat and/or pain in my chest like reflux or heartburn. It is very annoying. I just enjoyed a yummy chocolate chip cookie and now I'm really regretting it. My first appointment is next week and I feel silly calling this early to ask a question. I remember hating Tums but is there anything else I can take?

I had it right after getting my BFP for a few days but thankfully its gone for the time being. My doc said the occasional zantac is ok but I would call your doc and ask them first. You can also do tums or drink a glass of milk.

I had it early on and it has lasted all pregnancy.

I feel your pain Have you tried Smoothie Tums? They are awesome! Not at all chalky like regular Tums. I pop those like candy!

I had heartburn a few days before my BFP with my last pregnancy and all throughout the first trimester. It was really bad. Tums didn't work for me but chocolate milk did.

Before being pregnant, I never had it and now I get it at least once a day. I'm 7 weeks. I could be crazy but I had it when I would have been like 3 weeks pregnant and I didn't know what was wrong with me since I had never felt that pain before.

I would definitely day its possible. Im 8 weeks and started having it much more and it feels like its in my entire boob. annoying

i got it very early in the beginning too. it went away within a few weeks and i only get it occassionally now. tums helps a bit, but the big thing for me was figuring out which foods were a trigger and avoiding them. milk helps to relieve the discomfort as well.
