heartburn need answers
i get very bad heartburn and i havnet seen my doctor yet.what could i take for it because i am in very much pain

I just read in the pregnancy week by week book that a glass of milk should help but I can't speak from experience

Heartburn has become my middle name.
I take the X-Strength Tums smoothies like they are candy..... AND I drink a glass of strawberry milk every night before laying down....

I had the same problem the first few weeks. My dr. said Tums were fine to take.

Eating them before you eat something else seems to help more than waiting until after you get the heartburn.

i used tums, which helped a lot. but when it got really bad i took zantac, which my doc said was totally fine.

My Doc prescribed Zantac; you can talk to the pharmacist and get an OTC equivilant. (I also took Gaviscon, tasted terrible but worked and chewable Rolaids before the Zantac prescription.)

OB recommended tums or mylanta to me. She said if it got worse - they would take it from there about going to the next step - so I would talk to your doctor if tums aren't working
