Headrests for carseats...
We registered for a travel system with the baby carseat and then a convertable carseat. Here are pictures of the ones we picked...
Both look like they have support in them for the head... so my question is, do we still need something like this??

I think you are ok without them, the infant carrier already has one, and by the time the baby is in the bigger one, he might not need it.
That's just my opinion, curious to see what others say.

Re: Headrests for carseats...
I would still get the them. The ones that come in the carseat do nothing.
You can see in this picture that it didn't support my sons head at all (we ended up buying another one). My babies were all big babies and it still was useless.

we learned after the first baby and with my next we bought them before hand, you can see the difference they make (both babies in both pictures were the same size baby 8 lbs 6 ozs):

Re: Headrests for carseats...
i thought i read somewhere that those extra headrests were a safety hazard - does anyone know anything about that?

Re: Headrests for carseats...
The warranty on the carseats is voided if you add a different headrest. And the safety commission advises against anything that does not come with the carseat itself. We got the Graco Snugride and it has a headrest for infants that is just like the one you'd buy but meets all the necessary safety standards.
