heading to a job interview........updated
and the suit I bought a month ago is practically POPPING off of me!!!! wish me luck that a button doesn't fly off mid interview and smack this guy in the head
UPDATE: I literally just got back from the interview at 7:30!!!!!!......IT WAS THREE HOURS LONG!!!!!!!! do you know how bad I had to pee by the time I walked out!!! but the good news is they LOVED ME!!!! the first hour I met with an HR guy and the head of all the project managers, 2nd hour I met with the person I'd be working with if I took the job, and hour 3 I met the president of the company. A little after 6PM (I got there at 3!!!), the HR guy told me technically I'd have to meet with the controller first before they formally make me an offer (since I'd be working with him quite a bit)....then he asked if I'd be able to start working on the 19th if I'm able to meet with the controller before the end of the week.
they do not know I'm pregnant and I'm thinking about calling them after my first OB appt Wednesday and telling them.....I just can't go in to a new job feeling like I'm hiding something. Honestly as good as the pay would be, I don't know if I would take it, the person I'd be working with apparently works til 7 or 8 almost every night (not even sure if its salary or if I'd still get overtime). This really stinks b/c under normal circumstances I think I'd be perfect for the job, I just don't know if I can really accept a position that I know upfront will be really demanding. I hate feeling this conflicted!!!!!

thanks Marie! I think the ball is in my court too and that's the scary part!! but I'd feel better if I'm upfront with them and perhaps they can let me know if they can offer me any kind of flexibility later on......I kind of feel like I have nothing to lose b/c if they don't offer any flexibility at all I don't know if its something I want to consider taking. I'm going to try to not stress about it anymore until after my appt. Wednesday. my head hurts just from being in that interview for 3 hours!! I kept thinking, who else are they going to bring in here to meet me?? lol I felt like every half hour a new person was popping into that conference room

Re: heading to a job interview........updated
That's great news about the job! Sucks that you are feeling that way about them not knowing you are pregnant. I know exactly how you feel though. I had that Dental Assistant interview last friday and they absolutely loved me, the experience I had, my skills and called me and gave me the jon but i had to tell them i was pregnant and that caused a problem so now i am still hunting.....good luck to you!!

they must've really loved you! i've never heard of a 3hr interview before so you must have really wowed them!! Way to go!!
And do not stress!! The ball being in your court is a good thing!! I would try not to even think about it tonight!! After 3 hours of interviewing your head must be spinning!! relax and worry about this one tomorrow

Re: heading to a job interview........updated
Good for you Helen! You must have really impressed them (3 hrs - woohoo!), congrats!!
I completely understand your conflict, though, but I agree that the ball is totally in your court and from what you've said it def does seem like you're in a no-lose situation.
I know what you mean about going into a job already knowing that you're pregnant. If I were in your shoes I would probably tell them too. They may be reluctant, but on the flip side they may be completely understanding about the situation and be very flexible about the hours they expect you to work when DC comes along. Good for you, though!
Let us know how things progress!
