Headboard Help
DH and I have a small room and a big bed...The bed can only go up against the wall that we have it on due to where the room door opening is. There are two windows on this wall and a sloped roof, which makes it difficult to have a headboard, but there is a little wall space between the windows. I was wondering - what would be the best idea for an alternative to a headboard...or are there low profile headboards out there...I have done a little research but having a hard time deciding what I want to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Below are two pics of my bed (please excuse the beagle - she was inspecting the new bedding )
ETA: the bed is actually centered between the windows...although the pillows on the bed make it look like its not. Thanks! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Headboard Help
First thing I'd do is get a long enough curtain rod to go the length of the bed and center the windows and cover it with enough drapery/fabric to actually make it a little larger than the window. would give the room more symmetry,
Have you thought about a tufted headboard? I could totally see that.

Re: Headboard Help
I would make that whole wall, a wall of curtains with a low headboard. Or just use the curtains as your headboard. It will balance out the wall. Hang them past each window and up as high as you can. I know you have the slopped wall, but I think it would look really nice. I think it would make the wall look bigger. Check out some of these pics I found. HTH! GL!
Or you could just do something like this. Sorry it's not the greatest pic. You can make the curtains in the center fill in the area that is wall. Just make sure you have the same amount of curtains on the far left and far right of the windows to balance everything out.
Hope these help. GL!

That helps a lot...I like the look of the last picture. We use our windows a lot because the room is so small, we like to get air circulation. I forgot one thing. Our neighbors house is so close to our that I wanted to get a bit more privacy during the day without making the room so dark so I bought some faux wood plantation time cafe shutters at Lowes. I like the way that they look it would just make putting an actual headboard tough, I think.

Re: Headboard Help
I was going to suggest the same thing as Jenn. a full wall of window treatments is your best option!
