HE Washing Machine question
I have always used a top loading washing machine so I am used to seeing clothing immersed in sudsy water, constantly being mixed around. Now, we have a front loading HE washer and it kind of freaks me out lol. There barely seems to be any water in there and it sporatically spins the clothes around each time water is added.
I really don't know how much clothing to put in. I like to fill it up while leaving some space at the top. My husband stuffs it to the brim.
How much clothing do you put in a HE washer? Any advice or reccommendations are greatly appreciated!

Re: HE Washing Machine question
I've noticed that if you fill it to the brim it doesn't clean the clothes as well, I'm like you and usually leave a little space, maybe enough to fit a large towel.
Once the clothes are wet they will have a little more room and with the added space I feel like they get cleaned better.

Re: HE Washing Machine question
HE machines will judge how much clothes and things are in the washer and add water accordingly. That the reason they are so cost savings, as far as water goes, where as a top loader, uses more water.
I try to not stuff the washer, my DH does the same thing yours does. He tries to do all in one load and I tell him that he is going to break the washer and the clothes are not getting clean.

Re: HE Washing Machine question
Thanks so much for the info! I am glad I seem to be using it properly.
I didn't know that the machine adds water according to the amt of clothing. I'll let my husband know that and hopefully he'll stop stuffing it.
Thanks again!
