He said the "D" word............I feel so betrayed!
My sister and I heard 5-month-old DS say "Da da" several times throughout the day today.
When I heard him and said "What did you say?" he even laughed right after it.
Traitor!!!

My DD was saying that ALL the time at 5 months. But luckily she started saying Mama at 6 months so I didn't have to wait long for it. I hope you hear Mama soon!

dada was first for my DD too but mama came soon after and once she started thats all she would say so i got payback

The "Da" sound is much easier for an infant to say. Closing the lips to make the "m" sound is harder to do. I think the majority of infants make the "da da" sound first.

same here.. DD said DaDa first but MaMa was said the next month.
