He caved...
and let me splurge on the GE Profile French Door Counter Depth Fridge!!! Our current fridge is SS, only 4 years old and still works fine. We purchased all new appliances two weeks ago but DH said not to go crazy about the fridge b/c it was $2700 and not really necessary. The current one would stick out from the edge of the cabinets almost 8 inches which is why I wanted a counter depth one. I sooo wanted it but figured we would wait until the other crapped out. Totally reasonable. Well after ordering the cabinets and granite last night, the price turned out to be $3000 less than expected after discount...so DH said to add the fridge!!!! We'll put our current one, in the garage for a second fridge. Honestly, I am so excited about a stupid fridge purchase!!

Re: He caved...
We have a galley kitchen and it's amazing b/c it's so streamlined. Love the way it's flush to my counters.
It looks great and just make sure you set the alarm b/c at first, I didn't close the door properly and my chicken got "cooked" by the light.
Threw everything away!
