Having someone paint furniture?

Has anyone had a piece of furniture painted by a professional? I am considering painting DD's bedroom furniture white and wanted to know if anyone had this professionally done. I thought I would pass it down to my son but being we are having 2 more girls that won't be the case!

someone had Debbie Viola (i think i spelt that right) paint a piece of furniture and were very pleased. Debbie is a vendor here on LIF, too.
