having sleep issues-need advice
for the past 2 months or so, ds wakes up maybe 2 hours after going to bed. He cries, we pick him up, he falls back asleep. An hour later he wakes up, cries, we pick him up, he sleeps again, This happens about 3-4 tomes until we finally put him in bed with us and we all sleep soundly. We've tried to let him CIO but he gets so upset that he cries so much and even gasps for air. do u have any advice? we already feel that we've done wrong by putting him in our bed.he is 6 1/2 months old

Have you tried the CIO method? Ferber?
I would do the same (putting him in the bed with you) out of exhaustion but you know it will make it harder in the long run. I you get some sleep soon.

Re: having sleep issues-need advice
Is he falling asleep in his crib? Are you putting him down drowsy but awake?
If you put him down out cold, during normal rem cycles and awake cycles he'll wake up and realize he's not where he was when he fell asleep and he'll freak out cause he'll want to be back where he fell asleep, hence the crying.
But if you put him down to let him fall asleep on his own, i'd say it's a bit of separation anxiety or teething that waking him up and he just needs some hugs to go back to sleep.
